Dr Victoria Record is the President of Rochester General College of Health Careers.   Record received her doctorate in education from Walden University in Minneapolis, specializing in higher education and corporate training.  She holds a master’s degree in nursing from St John Fisher College, a post-master’s nurse practitioner certificate, as well as her bachelor’s degree from Keuka College.  In addition, Dr Record has completed certificate programs in International Regulatory Scholarship through the National Council of State Board of Nursing, Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment of Learning Outcomes through the State University of NY, and Teaching in Nursing through Indiana University.

Dr. Record maintains her clinical practice at Rochester Regional Health in the Geriatric Consulting Division and is a board-certified Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner as well as a Certified Nurse Educator. 

She has held faculty appointments at Utica College, Keuka College, and St John Fisher College.  Additionally, Dr Record was the founding dean of Finger Lakes Health College of Health Sciences and is the owner of Victoria Record Consulting. She continues her commitment to educational excellence through service as a peer reviewer for the NYS Department of Education & Office of Higher Education, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, and the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing. 

Record has a strong interest in nursing regulation and has been a member of the NYS Board of Nursing since 2008. She held the office of Vice Chair and was a past Chair of the Licensing, Education, and Examination Committee at the Board of Nursing.  She continues to be actively involved in several professional organizations and has published on A Culture of Patient Safety Investigation and Barriers to Evidence-Based Practice in New York.  Her current research efforts are focused on professional generosity and remediation impact on student success, character building and workforce development.
