Lisa Y. Harris, MD

Lisa Y. Harris, M.D., is the Senior Vice President and Corporate Medical Director for Excellus BCBS Health Plan.

Board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Harris has been in clinical practice since 1995 and stepped down from clinical practice in December of 2022.  Dr. Harris is a certified Physician Executive through the American College of Physician Executives, a fellow with both the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Harris attended the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  She has served as the president of the Southern Tier district of the American College of Physicians, VPMA and CMO for Our Lady of Lourdes in Binghamton, and Medical Staff President at Highland Hospital.  Dr. Harris served on numerous boards in the Rochester and Southern Tier communities and has had extensive involvement in medical education.  

Dr. Harris currently serves on the board of the YWCA of Rochester, Ronald McDonald House, Black Physicians Network, Greater Rochester Alumnae, Alumni Chapter of the National Panhellenic Council.  She is active in her church serving as an instructor for Sunday school and Bible study, as well as president of the Missionary board. She is the immediate past president of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.  Delta Nu Omega Chapter.

Dr. Harris and her husband are the proud parents of two adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys time with family, sewing and a variety of outdoor activities.
