Meagan Kinsella, ASA, MAAA

Meagan Kinsella is the Vice President & Finance Officer for Commercial Markets & Pharmacy at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, where she leads financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management across the company’s commercial business and enterprise pharmacy operations. In this role, she works closely with senior leadership to guide decision‑making, enhance business performance, and ensure disciplined financial stewardship across a dynamic and evolving marketplace. 

Meagan brings nearly two decades of progressive experience across finance, actuarial services, underwriting, and pharmacy economics. She began her career at Excellus BCBS in 2006 in underwriting and actuarial roles before expanding her expertise at MVP Health Care as Manager of Underwriting. She returned to Excellus in 2012 and advanced through a series of leadership roles—including Manager of Actuarial Services, Director of Underwriting, Director of Pharmacy Finance, and Vice President & Finance Officer for MSO & Pharmacy—before assuming her current role in 2024.

Meagan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from SUNY Geneseo and completed the Accounting Certificate program at Cornell University in 2023. She is also an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

Meagan and her husband reside in Pittsford, NY and have two children.  Outside of work, she can most often be found at her children’s many sports events.  She also enjoys golf, skiing, and playing pickleball and paddle.
