Executive Director, Northstar Network

Lauren Burruto has joined Northstar Network as the new Executive Director.  Lauren brings over 30 years of leadership in sales, marketing, strategy and new business development from her career at News10NBC in Rochester, New York.  Her most recent position was Director of Sales where she directed a local and national sales staff to maximize revenues, increase market share and achieve program growth.  Lauren successfully developed cause related marketing campaigns for Rochester NFPs resulting in increased recognition, sponsorship, attendance and membership. Lauren showed throughout her career the ability to earn credibility, develop strong relationships, and forge long-term partnerships that lead to mutual success.    

Lauren is active at her church and serves as a lector and Social Justice advocate.  She has been the chair of the Global Solidarity Ministry for over 10 years spearheading donation campaigns totaling over $900,000 for economic development projects in three communities in central America.  
 
Lauren was born in Buffalo but has called Rochester her home for the last 50 years. She earned her BA in Journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University.  

Lauren has been married to her husband Fred for 37 years and they have one son together who recently was married and lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife.  She is a proud stepmother to four, a step grandmother to eight and a step great grandmother to two.
