
Andrea DeMeo

Andrea DeMeo is an accomplished healthcare executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning healthcare delivery, community health, and nonprofit organizations. Her expertise includes strategic planning and execution, organizational transformation, financial stewardship, governance, compliance, operations, human resources, community engagement, and health equity.
Most recently, Ms. DeMeo provided strategic consulting services to the Catholic Dioceses and served for nine years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Trillium Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Rochester, New York. During her tenure at Trillium Health, , she led a comprehensive organizational transformation that diversified revenue streams, increased annual revenue from $15 million to $53 million, and expanded the patient population from approximately 1,000 to more than 14,000 individuals.
Under her leadership, Trillium Health significantly expanded access to integrated healthcare and supportive services, including primary care, behavioral health, pharmacy, care management, food and housing assistance, and medication access. She successfully strengthened the organization’s long-term financial sustainability, implemented a new electronic health record system, modernized compliance and quality programs, redesigned clinical operations, and expanded the organization’s nationally recognized HIV prevention and treatment services.
Ms. DeMeo also spearheaded several strategic growth initiatives, including the launch of a mobile health clinic, the expansion of pediatric and gynecologic services, and the establishment of the Transgender Center of Excellence, and opening new campuses further advancing equitable access to culturally responsive care for underserved populations. She tirelessly advocated for the need for funding at both the state and federal levels and built a trusted reputation that helped pave the way for Trillium Health to receive designation as full Federally qualified Health center- necessary to increase access and ensure the organization’s financial stability.
Prior to joining Trillium Health, Ms. DeMeo served as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Center for Community Health at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she oversaw community health initiatives and operational strategy. During her 15-year tenure at the University of Rochester Medical Center, she held several senior leadership positions focused on healthcare operations, program development, and community partnerships. Earlier in her career, she served as Chief Operating Officer for the Visiting Nurse Service of Monroe County, where she directed clinical operations and supported the delivery of home-based healthcare services.
A passionate advocate for health equity and community well-being, Ms. DeMeo has served on numerous nonprofit and healthcare boards, including the Community Health Care Association of New York State, the Rochester Healthcare Business Academy, the American Red Cross Greater Rochester Chapter, the YMCA of Greater Rochester, Junior Achievement of Rochester, the Finger Lakes Visiting Nurse Service, and several regional advisory boards.
Her leadership has earned numerous professional honors, including the Rochester Business Journal Women’s Circle of Excellence Award, recognition as an ATHENA Award finalist, Rochester Business Journal’s Top 100 Power List, and Top 30 in Healthcare. She was also honored with the New York State Woman of Distinction Award for her longstanding commitment to advancing health equity and improving access to care for historically underserved communities.
Ms. DeMeo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Skidmore College and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating with highest honors.
