Chuck Ainsworth

Director, Americas Coaching Practice & Senior Faculty Americas, Center for Creative Leadership

Throughout his life, Chuck has demonstrated the power of transformation. Leaving school at 16 with a GED, he scrapped his way through higher education, travelled to more than 20 countries, and worked to improve the lives of some of the poorest in the US and abroad. He has coached and mentored leaders in Fortune 500 companies and remote villages in Cambodia. Over and over he has experienced the power of coaching to accelerate leadership and build adaptable, supportive, resilient, and innovative mindsets.

Chuck’s global outlook developed further during his five years with a nearly $500M international disaster relief nonprofit, supporting projects in 100 countries. In progressively senior positions, culminating as Head of Learning & Development, he was responsible for on-boarding, management development, performance management, coaching, and succession planning. During that time he designed, managed, and facilitated training in leadership, international disaster response, and personal and professional effectiveness.

Next, Chuck launched leadership development programs for Cone Health, a $1B healthcare system. As an Organizational Development Specialist, he provided executive and team coaching for physicians and senior health administrators. He concurrently manages his own consulting firm, Epic Rivers, working with more than 90 clients and organizations on five continents to unlock their potential.

Chuck has an MA in Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and has been certified as a coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF) since 2007. His other certifications include Situational Leadership, Grove Consultants Team Performance Practitioner, and AoEC Systemic Team Coach. He has multiple certificates in Human Performance Improvement (HPI) and is qualified to deliver a wide range of psychometric instruments, including MBTI, FIRO-B®, Hogan, Learning Versatility Index, Workplace Big Five, and the full suite of CCL assessments and 360s.
